Using SMART Disk Monitor through Firewalls and over Wide Area Networks

SMART Disk Monitor uses the Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) API to monitor SMART predictive failure and to generate access permissions reports. Many corporate environments have firewalls installed that block WMI traffic. SMART Disk Monitor can still be used in firewalled networks or WANs. In order to run in these environments, the System Administrator must install SMART Disk Monitor on each remote system. Corner Bowl Software offers a Single Server License to enable organizations to cost effectively manage WANs for the low cost of $20 USD per server.
