Corner Bowl Log Manager
Firewall Support
Using Corner Bowl Log Manager through Firewalls and over Wide Area Networks
Corner Bowl Log Manager uses Microsoft's WMI API to manage remote Event Log files and Windows Networking to manage remote text logs.
Most corporate environments have firewalls installed that block remote WMI and Windows Networking traffic.
Corner Bowl Log Manager can still be used to manage firewalled subnets and remote sites.
In order to run in these environments,
the System Administrator can install Corner Bowl Log Manager at each remote site,
point the remote installation to a central SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle database, and lastly open the firewall for database traffic to and from the remote IP.
Logs are monitored and consolidated at the remote site and then pushed to the corporate hosted database.
Corner Bowl Software offers both a 5-Pack and a Single Server License
enabling organizations to cost effectively manage firewalled subnets, WANs and
stand-alone isolated computers such as servers that reside within your DMZ.
